Sterile Vial Adapters

Sterile vial adapters, also known as vial adaptors, are single use, needle free devices that snap onto the neck of a 13mm or 20mm crimp neck vial and allow medicines to be transferred between vial and syringe, or vial to vial, quickly and easily, with reduced risk to patients and to the staff administering them. • Female luer lock (external thread) connector to ISO 80369 for needle free syringe connection; male luer lock ISO 80369 connectors also available for transfer between two vials

• Plastic spike with a guiding system for central penetration of the vial’s rubber stopper in line with ISO 80369, without deformation or chipping of the stopper
• Three-hole spike design to optimise rinsing, liquid injection and aspiration of the reconstituted medicine
• Reduces the number of times a butyl stopper is punctured, lowering the risk of particulate
• Prevents needle stick injuries and reduces the risk of contamination when reconstituting medicines
